You have been eating well for two weeks. You step on the scale. It is up.
This is the exact moment most people quit.
A few things worth knowing, in plain terms. Your weight changes day to day for reasons that have nothing to do with fat: water, salt, a big dinner, a bad night of sleep. One number on one morning is a weak signal.
So if you are only measuring yourself with the scale, you are measuring yourself with a noisy instrument and then judging yourself harshly for the noise.
What helps more is measuring what you control:
- Did you log your meals?
- Did you hit your protein most days?
- Did you train?
- Did you come back after the bad day?
Those are inputs. You own them. The scale is an output, and it lags.
