Steps are easy. Showing up isn't.

Your watch says 10,000 steps. You left your wrist moving during a long meeting.

The watch does not know the difference. It also does not know whether you ate real food today, trained, or gave up on Tuesday.

Steps are easy to collect and easy to feel good about. That is the problem. A number you can hit without changing anything is not telling you very much.

So what do we look at in LastCall? Honestly, a smaller and humbler set:

  • What you ate, in your own words, confirmed by you.
  • How you trained, same way.
  • Your protein, against a target Scully works out from your goal and your weight.
  • Your streak and your Grit Day, both on the Achievements page.

Grit Day is the strongest nutrition day you had in the last seven. That is all it is: nutrition, protein first. It does not count workouts yet, and I would rather tell you that than dress it up.

You can still log your steps. Tell Scully "8,200 steps today" and it goes on the record. They are one input, not the score.

Here is why this is the right order. You can fake a step count. You cannot fake having logged a real day. The streak is a record of the days you showed up, and Scully is there on the days you did not.

If you are tired of a number that makes you feel good and changes nothing, try tracking the days you showed up.
