Logging at 11 PM counts

It is 11 PM. You are standing in the kitchen. You are about to eat something you did not plan to eat.

And the little voice says: "I will not log this one. It does not count if it is not written down."

That voice is how people end up with a food log that is 100 percent accurate for breakfast and lunch and silent after dark. Which makes it useless, because the nights are where the story is.

So here is the rule. If you ate it, it counts, and it gets logged.

Not so you can feel bad. So the record is true. A true record of a rough night is more valuable than a clean record that lies.

It takes ten seconds in LastCall. "Had a few crackers and cheese before bed." Scully makes an estimate, you confirm it, and it goes on the day's totals. No search bar, no forms, no 11 PM data entry.

What I like most is what comes next. Nobody lectures you. The night goes on the record as it happened, and tomorrow is a new meal.

If you eat something at 11 PM, you did not fail. You are a person who eats. The only way it becomes a problem is if you hide it from the one thing meant to be on your side.

Log the late-night snack, and keep going.
